Location: 1600 16th Ave - Unit 1, Richmond Hill, Ontario

Reporting to the Director of International Programs, the **International Programs Manager**the primary duty to plan, monitor, evaluate and report on cash and non-cash projects to ensure a positive, transformational impact on the lives of children with disabilities. You will be leading the planning, monitoring and evaluation of a portfolio of projects by partner.

**Essential duties and responsibilities**:

- Manages a portfolio of partners (cash and non-cash programs) in Africa
- Ensures that Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) standards and guidelines are aligned with results-based management best practices
- Informs strategic project, program and country planning
- Plans, monitors and evaluates annual and multi-year projects
- Conducts project monitoring and evaluation partner visits
- Establishes program evaluation plans and activities to inform data driven decision making and inform planning for both cash and non-cash resources
- Facilitates and serves as a project liaison for externally managed evaluations advising on methodologies and providing technical guidance, reviewing and providing input on evaluation reports.
- Identifies partners needs related to non-cash resources, monitor and evaluates impact in collaboration with the International Program focal person
- Works collaboratively with all members of the International Programs team and in support of the Director, International Program, and leadership team
- Works with the IP Director and the IP team to develop and execute strategies to promote continuous improvement of international programs through implementation of lessons learned and best practices
- Shares best practices and learnings within Hope and Healing and among partners
- Supports the annual budget allocation and strategic planning processes
- Supports the submission of concept notes and proposals (e.g. narrative, work plans, logical frameworks, budgets etc.)
- Provides timely support to mass marketing and partnership development teams of content required to develop offers for donors
- Provides timely support for stewardship reporting for donors
- Liaises with external international development organizations and networks to foster learning opportunities and sharing of best practices
- Performing other job-related responsibilities as assigned
- Master’s degree or relevant experience in international development, disability studies, social science, public health, rehabilitation or other related discipline.
- Project management accreditation
- Monitoring and evaluation training (e.g. IPDET)
- 5+ years of relevant, practical experience in international development and/or humanitarian sector in a MEAL position
- Experience developing results chain frameworks, indicator selection, target setting, data collection, analysis, reporting, and database management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Cross-cultural skills
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of evaluation methodologies and data analysis skills (qualitative and quantitative)
- Experience developed detailed annual and multi-year project budgets
- Knowledge of community-based inclusive development and disability
- Critical thinking and data informed decision-making
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Ability to be flexible, to prioritize and manage a complex workload
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Office365 preferred)
- Experience with monitoring and evaluation software platforms

**Working conditions and other requirements**:

- Standard office environment
- Must be fully committed to ensure that Hope and Healing International is a child/adult-at-risk safe organization
- Must be fully committed to the core values and mission of Hope and Healing International
- Occasional international travel (typically one to two-week duration a few times per year)
- Must be eligible to work in Canada and obtain travel visas as necessary
- Must have a reliable source of transportation
