**JOB SUMMARY**:
The IT Purchasing Administrator position is responsible for supporting the company’s technology purchasing needs. This includes but is not limited to computer hardware and software, network equipment, cell phones, tablets, and accessories. The associate is responsible for working with the business to understand the requirements, quoting, getting approvals, ordering and ensuring payments and leases are processed appropriately. They assist with tracking licenses and processing annual true ups for software assurance or support and warranty. They are also responsible for facilitating the ordering and replacement of end of lease workstations and servers.

The IT Purchasing Administrator works as a member of the Provisioning team and is charged to understand the goals/objectives of that team and how it supports those of the I&O division.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Experience

3-5 years experience purchasing administration

Education

Technology related college or university diploma or combination of education and experience.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:
**IT Procurement and Support**
- Work with the technology teams and business to assess needs and determine the specifications of required IT equipment (e.g., computers, network equipment, printers, etc.).
- Request quotes for IT equipment from vendors and place orders. Manage professional services responsible for onsite replacement of EOL workstations. EOL systems should be replaced and old systems returned within 30 days of EOL date.
- Submit purchase orders for new licenses, track license assignments, conduct software renewals and provide charge back lists.
- Administer lease and non-lease invoicing, including selecting the appropriate cost centre; submitting invoices to accounting; determine where equipment goes; and ensuring accuracy. Invoicing should be submitted for processing within one week of receipt, leases should be reviewed, revised where appropriate and submitted for processing within 14 days of receipt.
- Manage provisioning of cellular equipment, review and approve changes to cellphone data plans and travel plans.
- Effectively communicates to 3rd level technical support
- Responsible for organization/coordination of department activities
- Seeks out potential cost savings

**Planning and Organization**

- Independently manage assigned tasks and project components to complete within established timelines.
