**Sea Change Brewing Company (SCBC)**:

- Products: A full lineup of top-selling beers in Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan with plans to expand nationally, including The Wolf, Prairie Fairy, Death Wave, Gremlin, Man Crush, Blonde, and Red, along with monthly limited releases and “Maiden Voyage” products. Expansion in Non-Alcoholic products will be pursued along with increasing sales with our Straight Edge offerings.

Congratulations on your journey with Sea Change Brewing Company As an integral part of our team, we are excited to present you with the Job Description for the Markets and Events Coordinator position overseeing our Sea Change markets and events operations. This role is essential in ensuring the ongoing success and growth of our markets and events, where we proudly sell our signature craft beers and other products.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**1. Customer Service**:

- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
- Address any customer inquiries, concerns, or feedback in a prompt and professional manner.
- Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to enhance the overall guest experience.

**2. Team Leadership**:

- Serve as the point of contact for markets and event staff providing guidance and support as needed.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent service, communicating effectively with team members, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Assist with training new staff members and ensuring they are knowledgeable about our beers, products, and company policies.

**3. Shift Management**:

- Oversee markets and event operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing procedures.
- Assign duties and delegate tasks to market staff, ensuring all responsibilities are completed efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate any inventory or equipment issues to management.
- Ensure responsibility for the markets when other staff are not present and act accordingly.

**4. General Duties**:

- Oversee scheduling of year-round indoor farmers’ markets (Sea Change Outposts) as well as seasonal outdoor markets, and one-off tastings.
- Facilitate shift coverage as needed, including working markets if coverage is not available.
- Maintain Markets Inventory, including SC Beer, Shiddy’s RTDS, merchandise, and operations materials.
- Review weekly sales and compare to inventory pars, and make adjustments as needed to ensure adequate restocks are happening.
- Coordinate monthly inventory counts at all Sea Change Outposts and OG Markets stock.
- Work with sales and marketing to coordinate delivery of new releases at all Outposts and markets.
- Update and educate market staff on new releases, promos, company updates, and changes.
- Setting up and coordinating events and tastings as required.

**5. Cash Handling**:

- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to prevent discrepancies and ensure accuracy in reporting.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous experience in a server or hospitality role, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Strong customer service skills, with a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of beverage service procedures, including familiarity with craft beer offerings.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., PROSERVE).
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
- Passion for craft beer and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with customers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide leadership and guidance to the market staff, including training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Ensure that all staff adhere to company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Oversee the seating and service of guests, ensuring prompt and attentive service.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries, complaints, and issues, seeking resolution in a professional and satisfactory manner.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization in the market area.
- Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies and rotating inventory as needed.
