**The Opportunity**:
The purpose of the **Regional Manager** is for the overall operation of their assigned branch office. This includes ensuring the safe, cost effective and efficient day-to-day management of company operations for the region.

**What You Will be Doing**:
Providing direction, growth and ensuring the overall success of the local Burton operations and its employees

Grow and establish Burton’s business in the assigned territory

Ensure timely preparation and submission of various reports

Keep management current on the status of any issue(s) that may have an impact on the work being performed.

Conduct mentoring, training and provide instruction to work crews

Develop personnel in the Branch who are professional, safe, knowledgeable and self-sufficient

Ensure the employees have the necessary training, certifications and direct supervision

Conduct and participate in field level safety meetings, tool box talks, and health and safety informational awareness.

Scheduling regular vehicle and equipment maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and ensure schedules are adhered to.

Ensure equipment appearance is maintained to Burton standards

Ability to perform other routine maintenance work as required

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management and as required by the needs of the business

**Qualifications**:
5+ years management experience in construction, earthworks, utility, or oil & gas industry

What You Need to Succeed:
Grade 12 or equivalent

Valid Drivers' License with clean driver's abstract.

Must be able to pass criminal record check

Business Development and B2B sales in relevant markets

Strong business aptitude and problem-solving abilities

Willing to travel within region for daily operations and occasionally out of province for business planning meetings.

Willing to aggressively address problems; assume ownership of issues and provide solutions

Self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating a high level of professionalism, ethics, confidence and a commitment to a team approach. Ability to work with mínimal supervision.

Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills.

Must set personal ethical standards at a high level and interact with others at equivalent levels within the organization in a manner that instills similar values

Must be able to lift 50lbs

**Nice to have**:
Post Secondary degree/diploma in Business/Admin/Finance

Class 1A or air brake endorsement

Experience managing in a telecom or utilities construction environment

Additional safety training certifications. ie) ground disturbance, confined space, etc

Must be proficient in MS Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
