**Skills and experience for the next step in your career**

Reporting to Director of Merchandising, the Regional Procurement Manager will support all country buying initiatives necessary to meet Parrish & Heimbecker’s grain procurement objectives. This person will working closely with the Regional Managers, (Elevator) General Managers, and the Merchandising department to maximize efficiencies, and profitability for the overall P&H grain procurement program.

**Your day-to-day activities will include**:

- Working closely with each P&H grain elevator to build a customized grain procurement business plan.
- Train, mentor and coach Customer Service Representatives (CSR’s) in their respective region
- Attend farm calls with CSR’s, and providing guidance and feedback
- Standardize best practices for CSR’s which will include:

- Establish metrics
- Standardize reporting by way of utilization of CRM
- Help to establish and manage customer call lists for each location
- Monitor and report to management on progress and successes of the procurement program per location and overall.
- Educate and train CSR’s on merchandising and market dynamics
- Work with CSR’s and Grain Marketing Coordinator to facilitate communication and information flow between country and head office teams
- Post-secondary education in an agriculture or business program is required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a grain procurement role
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role that involved training and coaching employees
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with high level Excel skills
- Experience in using a CRM system
- Excellent customer service skills
- Refined negotiating skills
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Extensive travel is required
