**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate and program machines, including lathes and mills, to produce high-precision parts.
- Review technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations required.
- Set up and adjust machine tools and equipment to ensure proper alignment and operation.
- Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Mentor and train junior machinists, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document and report any issues or discrepancies in the machining process.

**Qualifications**:

- Preferably Certified Red Seal Machinist or technical certification in machining or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a conventional machinist
- Operating and programming CNC machines (lathes and mills) will be considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, techniques, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
