We are looking for a **Manager, Family Service** to join our team at Pine Hills Cemetery in Scarborough.

**Sales & Marketing**
- Establish, monitor and achieve monthly and annual customer service and sales targets.
- Ensure that the organization’s mission is conveyed to the community and that the community is aware of the services offered by Mount Pleasant Group by maintaining a profile through public speaking, volunteer community work, organizing special events at the cemetery and other public relations activities.
- Assist in the formulation of the advertising strategic plan and product development through providing timely and meaningful feedback from the community to the Director, Marketing, Communications & Outreach (MCO).
- Recommend products and services to be offered through the cemetery.
- Initiate cemetery-specific programmes through providing the Director, MCO with suggested activities and programmes.
- Approve for implementation all activities and programmes proposed by MCO.
- Contribute to the organization’s knowledge of the industry, through maintaining on going relations with individuals and organization in similar business within the community.

***Planning**
- Ensure the property is operating on a fiscally sound basis through recommending and working within comprehensive and accurate budgets.
- Ensure that there is always sufficient interment rights inventory to meet the community’s needs through recommending, in advance of need, to the Director, Client Services the required additional inventory of interment rights.
- Contribute to the long-term ability of the cemetery to meet the community’s needs by recommending new developments.
- Ensure that the service level of the property is maintained through projecting short
- and medium-term staffing requirements and communicating this to the Director, Client Services or Director, Human Resources.

**Administration**
- Ensure payroll-related documents, memorial, interment and cremation orders are properly approved and all policies and procedures are followed.
- Provide service to the public by ensuring the endowment ledgers are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure that the property is operating within the approved budget by generating and submitting accurate and timely accounting and other statistical information to Head Office departments.
- Ensure the property is operating in a financially sound manner by controlling expenses to budget guidelines and recommending any items outside of the budget that are required to maintain service standards.

**People Management**
- Ensure the cemetery is operating at an acceptable level of service through hiring, developing, disciplining and motivating employees.
- Motivate employees through regular performance reviews and recommending compensation for the employees that reflects their performance within the position.
- Ensure that all employees are treated fairly and within the policy guidelines.
- Ensure that all employees are provided with the necessary information, resources and tools to provide professional service.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Business or other related disciplines; or equivalent combination of work experience, training and education
- At least five (5) years of cemetery and/or funeral experience
- At least three (3) years of experience at a management level
