About the Role:
**Responsibilities**:

- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees in Canada and US
- Process and remit employee expense claims
- Administer Group Health and Life insurance plans for the Canadian and US employees
- Research and ensuring compliance with Employment Standards in various States and Provinces
- Coordinate the onboarding of new hires and maintain employee files
- Prepare employment documents such as offer letter, termination letter and employment verification letter
- Support all internal and external HR related inquires or requests
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirement
- Maintaining confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards
- Administer Worker Compensation in Canada and US

Qualifications:

- Post secondary education in related field
- 2 - 3 years of HR and payroll experience
- PCP certification and CHRP designation are considered an asset
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards
- Organized and detail-oriented, with strong time-management and prioritization skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word and Excel
- Ability to manage sensitive employee personnel information with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
