**About the Lac Ste. Anne Métis Community Association**
The Lac Ste. Anne Métis Community Association (“LSAMCA”) is an organization established to represent the independent, self-governing Lac Ste. Anne Métis community whose traditional territory encompasses west central and northwest Alberta, inclusive of the east slopes of the Rocky Mountains. With a strong sense of self-determination and cultural identity, and the recent recognition of our rights by the Province of Alberta, LSAMCA is focused on honouring the independent spirit of our ancestors while ensuring the wellbeing of future generations.
LSAMCA provides direct supports to its members through investments in education, training, housing, and other social programs and services, funded in part through our involvement in sustainable economic development activities. We actively protect and advance our community’s section 35 Métis rights and interests, including through participation in consultation and regulatory engagement processes and community-led stewardship initiatives.
**Position Overview**
The Administrative Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting our Administration and Membership teams in maintaining and supporting the effective, day-to-day functioning of LSAMCA’s operations and programs in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Support coordination of events, such as meetings, workshops, etc. including booking venues/facilities, arranging catering and audiovisual, etc.
- Support arrangement of travel and accommodation bookings, as needed.
- Support maintenance of the LSAMCA Registry System.
- Support the delivery of programs, services and initiatives for LSAMCA members.
- Foster positive relationships with other staff, community members and external organizations.
- Develop templates and tools to support efficiency of operations.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems with a high level of organization.
- Coordinate mass mailouts to the membership; maintain and update the LSAMCA contact database.
- Support communication activities through various channels, such as social media, newsletters, website, and other.
- Manage office supplies inventory and office equipment maintenance.
- Ensure storage areas are well organized and maintained.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as Office Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or another relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an administrative coordinator or related role.
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Exhibits a high degree of initiative and desire to learn.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written and electronic).
- Excellent organizational, time and file management skills.
- Possesses strong attention to detail and committed to quality work.
- Able to meet deadlines and adapt to quickly changing circumstances.
- Able to communicate and engage effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
- Valid Alberta’s driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance (for occasional errands).
**Bonus Points**
- Previous experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset.
- Previous experience planning and/or coordinating programs and services is an asset.
- Previous experience working in a non-profit environment is an asset.
- Previous experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to design simple graphics and shareable content is an asset.
**Working Conditions**
- Full-time in our office Monday through Friday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; this is not a remote or hybrid-working position.
- On occasion, work activities may occur outside of a standard workday schedule.
- On occasion, travel outside of the office may be required for errands or events (mileage to be reimbursed at federal rates).

**Salary, Benefits, Rewards**
- $50,000 - $70,000, dependant on skills and experience).
- 11 paid statutory holidays per year.
- Three weeks’ paid vacation including one week at Christmas coinciding with our office closure.
