Operation Coordinator

The Operation Coordinator will assist the Operation Manager in transportation, maintenance, installation and operation of APG’s equipment on project sites and at our facility in Stony Plain. The responsibilities also include general administration and accounting of expenses associated with equipment maintenance, repairs and replacement as well as coordinating work with sub-contractors when required. As the operations are ongoing 24/7, the Operation Coordinator may be required to assist the Project on-site team with emergencies related to mobilization/demobilization of personnel in and out of the site.
The responsibilities are:
**Operation Coordination**
- General administration and accounting of shop operations.
- Provide support on project operations as required.
- Prepare purchase orders for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Review reception of deliveries to confirm quantities.
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups of orders;
- Prepare daily/weekly work sheets for maintenance/fabrication crew at APG’s facility;
- Coordinate transportation of equipment to and from Project Site and APG Facility;
- Complete custom forms for international (Canada-US/US-Canada) shipments;
- Prepare and maintain personnel rotation schedules, and equipment usage planning schedule;
- Archive and update documentation associated with each piece of equipment;
- Communicate with project team as required;
- Request pricing information from suppliers and sub-contractors;
- Review and compare different price items received from suppliers and sub-contractors;
- Track and monitor Inventory additions/transfers to equipment
- Whenever possible, identify possible cost reduction opportunities in pricing received;
- Tracking of capital expenditures, Monthly Budget, and repairs and maintenance
- Working in conjunction with accounting to reconcile Inventory, WIP, and repairs and maintenance
- Provide recommendations following pricing review;
- Support/Back up accounting, safety and projects as needed ( i.e. Vacation, sick days and afterhours)
- Responsible for managing communication accounts (i.e. Mobile phones)
**Position Qualifications and Requirements**
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, knowledge of Microsoft project and CAD
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Prior experience in accounting and administration is an asset

- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
