**PURPOSE OF JOB**:
To supervise the accounts payable department and act as a liaison between vendors and Highland Farms.

This position is on-site Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Supervision**
- Supervises the accounts payable department, monitors and assesses performance, directing the training and development of staff and carrying out disciplinary action.
- Reviews accounts payable to ensure discounts and deals are taken
- Develops, recommends and implements accounts payable procedures.

**Accounting**
- Liaises with suppliers, prepares debit notes and follows up to ensure money is collected.
- Responds to supplier inquiries, giving out information and resolving problems.
- Monitors Accounts Receivables and follows up to ensure receipt of money.

**Administration**
- Directs the off-site storage of files.
- Distributes deal sheets and price lists to staff.

**Other Requirements**:

- Post-secondary diploma in accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of Accpac software
- Knowledge of Sage Accounting software

Pay: $55,500.00-$60,000.00 per year
