**Job Description**:

Teledyne Digital Imaging is a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc., a U.S. publicly listed enterprise, and specializes in the manufacture, design, research and development of high performance image sensors and modular expandable cameras. Teledyne Digital Imaging's products are used worldwide in machine vision, document scanning, image capture, surveillance, process monitoring, manufacturing inspection, medical imaging, and multi media. As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne Digital Imaging is recruiting for a Technical Leader in Waterloo.

Job Summary:
To be successful in this role, what we're looking for in you is:

- Broad knowledge of systems engineering, process engineering, electronics design, mechanical design, and optics
- Understanding of semiconductor theory and CMOS image sensors
- Must be a strong team player, as well as be able to work independently
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Report writing is essential.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Reliability engineering
- Experience preparing & revising technical reports and project documents

Job Requirements:
- Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Physics/Nanotechnology/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent- At least 5 years of design/development experience- Strong, proven experience leading/managing a technical project- Proven experience working within a large multidisciplinary team and excellent communication skills are required- Eligible for Controlled Goods security clearance- Experience with ECSS and MIL standards- Strong Technical Program Management experience- Experience evaluating risk and driving change- Proven ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines- Experience leading junior designers and test specialists

Occasional travel may be expected to support new customers and product introduction.
