**Summary of Duties**:
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Department. Provide customer service and respond to inquiries related to all aspects of the Department.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Collect appropriate fees and verify revenue and receipts processed. Prepare and balance monthly statistical reports for permits issued.
- Prepare and dispatch notices of nonconformity and/or Orders as directed by By-law Enforcement Officers.
- Schedule appointments, organize and prepare building inspection sheets for building inspectors in the field and update the property system software.
- Prepare and distribute packages (e.g. Committee of Adjustment, Property Standards) and coordinate the agenda for meetings.
- Prepare minutes, record decisions and prepare any correspondence arising from the meetings and provide back-up and support services in the Secretary-Treasurer’s absence.
- Record and prepare decisions given at meetings of the Committee of Adjustment and Property Standards.
- Process written complaints and organize all departmental files, records and indexes in the current property system software.
- Provide customer service to the public responding to all inquiries related to all aspects of the department and redirect technical inquiries accordingly.
- Type various documents including Reports to Staff and General Committees, letters, minutes, by-laws, Official Plan amendments and perform general clerical, record-keeping and filing duties as required.
- Perform other similar and related duties as required.
**Position Requirements**:
- Grade 12 diploma.
- One (1) year experience related to customer service, general clerical and cash handling.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation including related by-laws.
- Sound customer service and communication skills.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize work and meet deadlines without detailed direction or supervision.
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and applicable property system software.
- A demonstrated commitment to enhancing a safety culture.
**Pay Group 4 **- Minimum $43,145 annually; Maximum $49,447 annually
**Expected Work Location**:City Hall
**Hours of Work**:Currently Monday - Friday; 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
