The Clerk for the Oncology Program at the WFCC will manage a multi-line telephone system that receives incoming phone calls from patients and internal and external community partners. The Clerk will support functions related to patient care that will include, but is not limited to accurate and timely completion of patient letters and government insurance forms. Additionally, the Clerk will provide some administrative support to the WFCC Oncology program as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Graduate of a Medical Office Administration Program or Medical Terminology Certificate and equivalent in related experience
- Recent experience in medical office management, including completing and tracking insurance and government forms
- One year experience working in an outpatient oncology department
- Knowledge of medical terminology, treatments and procedures that relate to cancer care
- Excellent computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and Mosaiq
- Demonstrated ability to maintain data accuracy in an electronic medical record
- Demonstrated ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast paced, interdisciplinary team-oriented environment
- Evidence of effective customer service demonstrating patient client centered care
- Demonstrated effective written, communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills with high regard for confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload and work effectively and independently with mínimal supervision
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
- Consistent and regular attendance required
