The Business Development Manager will be solely responsible for prospecting, developing, and closing all opportunities from start to finish. They will have all the support they need once a customer is acquired, so they can continue the hunt for new opportunities. The entire sales cycle is something they will quarterback with resources as well. Your core responsibilities include new revenue attainment, helping prospective clients understand the unique value we bring to them and upholding Myriad’s core values.

**Responsibilities**:
- Visit potential clients’ offices, shops, and job sites to understand their needs while developing and maintaining strong relationships generating and closing profitable sales.
- Maintain knowledge of current market trends and competitors.
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction. Lead and own the sales process including producing sales call reports, territory planning, and growth targets cultivate business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their company’s needs, researching and analyzing sales options.
- Prospect and identify new clients, analyze customer data, develop, and execute strategies to ensure we continue to grow by meeting and exceeding targets.
- Initiates sales process through networking and building relationships, qualifying potential customers, and scheduling appointments.
- Generate new leads by networking at vendor trade shows and industry conferences, join local committees and attend community commerce meetings. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Adjust content of sales presentations based on the needs of potential customers; ability to actively listen to prospects while qualifying their needs.
- Negotiate and prepare contracts, quotes, SLA packages and any other sales functions as required.
- Responsible for cold-calling and creating new prospects, as well as following up with existing leads.
- Develop sales by making initial presentations; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services.
- Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Seek out new reseller opportunities.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Understand and follow all safety regulations at client locations as well as onsite.
- Contribute to a positive and productive culture within the team.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the CEO.
**Requirements**:
- 2-5 years of relevant post-secondary education or experience in a similar role (preference for a Degree or diploma in business, marketing, economics, or a related field).
