**Sales Coordinator / New Business Development**

Triton Transport is a progressive family-owned heavy haul transportation company providing services throughout North America with operations in British Columbia and Alberta.

We are seeking an experienced and progressive team player to fill the role of Sales Coordinator. This position will work from our Chilliwack, BC office.

Reporting to the President, the role will work closely with the Sales and Operations team. The duties of this role include but are not limited to the following:

- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from advertising inquiries, direct mail responses, trade shows, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
- Make outbound calls to potential and existing customers
- Ensure personal sales targets are met.
- Develop a method of follow up on all quotations.
- Maintain accurate, complete and timely sales information.
- Address customer concerns in a professional, productive, and timely manner.
- Handle inbound sales calls to convert calls into sales.
- Provide accurate ETAs to clients by liaising with the operations team.
- Work with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature current, accurate, and complete.
- Investigate and professionally resolve customer complaints regarding deliveries.
- Attend trade shows as necessary as it is productive and contributes to increased sales.
- Analyze the effectiveness of sales programs; recommend and implement changes based on findings.
- Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals.
- Complete other duties as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 supplemented with business/management courses plus a minimum of three (3) years of related experience, preferably in the heavy-haul transportation industry. Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- A sales background with a broad knowledge of the transportation industry including shipping and trucking logistics
- Experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close sales while maintaining established sales quotas.
- Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and industry tracking software and communications systems
- Ability to use sound judgment and make independent decisions
- Ability to work effectively in and multi-task in a busy environment
- Ability to handle a heavy workload and work effectively with interruptions and changing priorities

**Work Conditions**:

- Some travel may be required.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Able to conduct presentations, and meetings.
- Overtime as required.

Pay: $75,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
