**Key Skills and Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in a similar role within the transportation industry.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive safety initiatives.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Relevant certifications or training in transportation safety and compliance is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train employees and communicate safety policies
- Analytical skills to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop appropriate control measures
- Attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety standards and accurately document incidents
- Problem-solving skills to investigate accidents/incidents, determine root causes, and recommend solutions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

**Duties**:

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and assess the effectiveness of safety measures
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Provide safety training and education programs for employees to promote awareness and reduce risks
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in safety regulation.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: From $40,000.00 per year
