**Position Summary**: The Regulatory Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all products, processes, and documentation within the food manufacturing operation meet applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards. This role supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance systems to meet Canadian and international food safety regulations, labeling laws, and quality standards (e.g., CFIA, FDA, GFSI, HACCP, etc.). **Key Responsibilities**: - Monitor and interpret applicable federal, provincial, and international food safety and labelling regulations (e.g., CFIA, Health Canada, FDA, USDA). - Ensure all product labels, ingredient lists, and packaging meet regulatory requirements. - Prepare, review, and submit regulatory documentation for new products and product changes. - Support internal audits and facilitate external audits related to regulatory compliance (e.g., CFIA inspections, GFSI certification). - Maintain up-to-date regulatory files and product dossiers. - Collaborate with R&D, QA, and Marketing teams to ensure compliance from product development through to commercialization. - Track regulatory changes and communicate updates to key stakeholders. - Assist in the development and implementation of food safety and quality assurance programs such as HACCP, SQF, or BRC. - Conduct training for staff on regulatory and compliance topics. - Investigate and respond to non-compliance issues or consumer complaints related to regulatory matters. **Qualifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience in a regulatory or compliance role within the food industry. - Strong understanding of Canadian and U.S. food regulations (e.g., FDR, SFCR, FDA CFR). - Experience with GFSI certification schemes (e.g., SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000) is an asset. - Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and documentation skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); - Strong communication and collaboration skills. **Working Conditions**: - Office and production floor environment in a food manufacturing facility. - May require occasional travel to support audits or inspections. - Must adhere to all food safety, GMP, and hygiene protocols.
