Reporting to the Manager, the Coordinator is the primary point of contact for management staff related to scheduling and/or timekeeping. The Coordinator is responsible for investigating and determining customer service needs, dealing with difficult staffing and/or timekeeping requests, facilitating resolution to staffing and/or timekeeping problems and planning and developing strategies to close the gap between resource availability and resource needs. The Coordinator is in constant contact with their designated customer group to ensure understanding of future service demands and workforce plans. Develops procedures and processes to ensure timely and effectively delivery of services within own portfolio and ensures alignment with Scheduling Services vision and strategies. Develops and/or coordinates training and orientation systems for new hires in consultation with customer group and People. Provides direction, supervision and guidance to supervisory and scheduling and/or timekeeping staff and leads the team by fostering a motivating and respectful workplace. Primary working relationships are with Scheduling Services colleagues, People staff and client Directors/Managers throughout the designated area.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
Recognized Bachelor's degree in a related field plus three to five (3-5) years' recent, related experience in a large health care environment including experience with automated scheduling and/or timekeeping systems or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience including supervision and orientation of staff. Previous experience in recruitment and/or human resources would be an asset.

- Demonstrated ability to lead staff and foster a motivating, engaging and respectful workplace.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare setting and healthcare professions within the designated portfolio area.
- Communicates in a manner that is clear and understandable both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrates a strong customer-service orientation and ability to understand and translate customer needs into action.
- Skillfully analyzes and explains complex and detailed information including collective agreement provisions, professional standards and varied organizational policies and procedures.
- Applies excellent time management and multi-tasking skills to prioritize and complete assignments and schedule activities in a manner that optimizes effectiveness and contributes to team success.
- Fosters collaborative and effective working relationships with stakeholders that promote cooperative goals and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
