Role: Oversee all risk management activities including credit analysis and lending for the company, while working closely with leadership team and underwriting to originate and service loans and other related transactions, identify emerging risks and opportunities, enhance controls, create and implement balanced policies and improve upon underwriting procedures to ensure business continues to grow and operate at acceptable risk levels. Reporting to the CEO, you will be a key member of the leadership team and maintain a key independence role for the organization and provide guidance to the management committee. **Responsibilities**: - Provide thought leadership, build, optimize and lead the ongoing review of lending policies and risk management strategies - Assist underwriting team in structuring finance transactions, including terms, risk evaluation, covenants and pricing. - Help coordinate credit and loan portfolio administration activities, loan renewals/modifications, periodic credit reviews, review of financial statements, internal risk ratings - Monitor ongoing lending portfolio credit quality to detect and respond to deterioration or improvements in loan quality. - Prepare executive reporting and actively communicate with Board, underwriting team, business development team and clients to create transparent approach to credit risk management - Continuously monitor and understand industry and regulatory changes and trends, including competitors and the financing market for issues that could impact borrowers or the collateral within the loan portfolio. Qualifications: - 15+ years of experience in Risk Management within the Financial / Fintech industry - 5+ years of proven leadership experience with a strong understanding of both Canadian and US banking industry - Post-Secondary degree in Business, Economics, Law or similar - Additional designations such as MBA, CFA or similar is an asset - Ability to navigate through ambiguity - Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to influence the organization Our Offer: Joining LiveVie will allow you to embark on a great journey with career development in a respected FinTech Startup (Canada First, USA Second).
