**The Role**
The Human Resources Coordinator will provide Canadian organizational support to the National HR department and function for the salary and hourly employees. The position will also be responsible for supporting the onboarding process, employee orientation and assisting and working with the HR team with any HR organizational program. Accountable to the preparations of various reports, data-mining, filing and system inputs and updates, and full day to day HR support as required in the department. This person will also contribute to employee engagement initiatives and social events, as a leader of our social committee.

RESPONSABILITIES:

- Responsible for Post hiring process and onboarding process for local Salaried employees
- Provides Human Resources support for multiple businesses, both unionized & non-union, within Canada and US Reporting teams
- Maintains various HRIS systems by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases
- With a customer centric approach responds to various employee inquiries
- Participating in projects teams as needed by clarifying project objectives
- Responsible for monthly data system audits for HRIS and payroll
- Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office
- Administers monthly statements/payments for various vendors and processes National HR Invoices and coding for Vendors and Check Requests
- Supporting HR’s Digital Journey with efforts in digitizing files and processes
- Participate and assists in company events (ie) social committee
- Owner of Vacation Tracker Administration
- Responsible for the facilitation of various local programs and other Company initiatives
- Accountable for Year End Training Report and CSR Reporting
- Creation of Letters of Employment and Letters of entry for Canada/US
- Support Quebec Pension Program and Retirees for the Hourly and Salaried groups

OTHER DUTIES:

- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Manages employee different discount/benefit programs such as Fitness Reimbursement, Education Assistance and Product Rebate program;
**Requirements**:
MUST HAVE:

- Must have a post-secondary degree or Certificate preferably in Human Resources
- Bilingualism is required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced high volume environment
- Must have solid problem solving skills and efficient time management
- Must possess strong computer skills; these include Microsoft Office tools. (Excel proficiencies is required); HRIS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of business information
- Working toward CHRP designation
- Familiarity with HRIS system, preferably PeopleSoft
- Act as an entrepreneur in their position, demonstrating initiative, self-starter mind set and looking to create a positive organizational impact.
