**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and administering various HR activities across the organization. **This position is ideal for someone who wants to be a true generalist and get involved in all aspects of HR**
**Main Duties/Responsibilities**:
**1. Recruitment**
- Review applicants and assist with prescreens, scheduling interviews and reference checks.
- Liaise with co-op placement offices to assist with student placements.
- Assist in recruitment blitzes and job fairs as required.
- Coordinate new hire orientations and ensure new hires are assigned required equipment and IT systems prior to start date.
**2. Payroll/Benefits**
- Process biweekly payroll in Quickbooks and prepare reports for secondary approval.
- Ensure all new hires and departing employees are processed accurately.
- Administer year-end activities in a timely manner.
- Ensure benefit enrolments and Group RSP contributions are processed and administered accurately.
**3. Employee Engagement**
- Provide superior service to all employees in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and issue employee surveys.
- Arrange and promote social events and activities to promote teambuilding.
**4. Training & Development**
- Assist with training related activities, including filing of documentation.
In addition, the Coordinator willassist with HR related projects and initiatives, including various reporting and administration/document control.
**Compensation and Work Arrangement**:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
- Salary: $55k - $65/per annum, depending on experience.

**Qualifications**:
- Post secondary degree/diploma in human resources management.
- CHRP designated or working towards it.
- 1 year HR experience working at an administrator or coordinator level.
- Access to a vehicle and hold a valid Ontario driver’s license to travel to office locations within the GTA.
- Working knowledge of payroll software, including HRIS highly preferred.
Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
