**Environmental Initiatives Coordinator (Term Full-Time)**

**POSITION TYPE**: Full-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated October 7, 2024 up to March 31, 2025)

**SALARY**: $56,607 - $79,848 per annum

**POSITION LOCATION**: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)



**DUTIES**
The Environmental Initiatives Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, stakeholder engagement, related data collection and analysis, and final submission of the College’s AASHE STARS report (Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education - The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System). Using both quantitative and qualitative data, the Coordinator identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to enhance sustainability performance and achieve program excellence. The Coordinator maintains relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Building Services, Landscaping and Grounds, Academic Programs, Food Services, Green Action Centre) to support the College’s sustainability goals.

- In addition to leading the AASHE STARS report submission, the Coordinator also supports other campus sustainability efforts, including environmental awareness and engagement campaigns, student research projects and special events.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- An undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies, Business Administration/Commerce or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Several years of experience in developing sustainability programs and coordination or environmental initiatives
- Proven experience with sustainability assessment frameworks, i.e., AASHE STARS or similar assessment frameworks
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Proficient at interpreting data and making operational plans to improve performance
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
