**Job Summary**

we are seeking a temporary **Construction Safety Officer** who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, promoting a culture of safety on-site, conducting inspections, and leading incident investigations. The CSO plays a key role in identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor and enforce compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks to site workers and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents and near misses; prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.
- Maintain safety documentation and reports in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and project managers to implement and improve safe work procedures.
- Liaise with WorkSafeBC officers during site visits or inspections.
- Promote a culture of health and safety among all workers and contractors.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Valid **Construction Safety Officer (CSO)** certification recognized in BC.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a safety role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of **WorkSafeBC** regulations and the **Workers Compensation Act**.
- Occupational First Aid Level 3.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Proficient with MS Office and safety reporting software (e.g., SiteDocs, Procore, etc.)
