We are looking for construction safety officers for our construction job sites located around the Lower Mainland. Shifts starts from 7 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on weekdays and some overtime as needed.

**Position Title**: Construction Safety Officer (CSO)

**Position Type**: Full time

**Key responsibilities**:

- Conduct Site Specific Safety Orientations as required
- Maintain all records for the Safety Program and COR audits
- Conduct daily and weekly inspections to ensure site safety
- Ensure all trades and workers are complying with WorkSafe BC regulations.
- Administer first aid to personnel on the jobsite
- Attend, participate and / or facilitate safety meetings including Weekly Safety Toolbox Meetings
- Working closely with site superintendent, company’s safety manager and general superintendent
- General labour duties as needed
- You have a valid CSO certificate
- You have Occupational First Aid Level 2 certification
- You have the following health and safety certifications:

- Fall protection
- Confined space
- WHMIS
- Elevated work platform training
- You possess basic knowledge of different construction stages, methods, equipment and tools
- You have excellent written, communication, organizational and record keeping skills
- You possess working knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations and guidelines
- You can use Microsoft Office software
- You are an energetic, ambitious team player
- You have excellent attention to detail
- You are personable and approachable
- You have the ability and confidence to work independently
