MacEwan University is seeking an Organizational Development Consultant for a full-time continuing opportunity with our Organizational Design & Development (OD&D) team in Human Resources. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing organizational development solutions for various leadership, cultural, and organizational effectiveness programs and services. Working collaboratively, the OD Consultant provides consulting and coaching to MacEwan clients and stakeholders and works to foster an organizational culture that promotes teaching greatness, flexibility, versatility, growth, and equity, diversity and inclusion.
Key responsibilities include:
- In alignment with MacEwan's Strategic Vision and Human Resources’ People Plan, designing and delivering organizational development programs, resources, and services for a variety of topics (e.g. learning and development, change management, succession, employee engagement, employee recognition, etc.);
- Consulting with leaders and teams to support them in addressing change and enhancing team dynamics towards engagement;
- Conducting in-depth interviews, observational analysis, focus groups, and secondary research, collecting, analyzing and synthesizing data to inform recommendations for leaders;
- Supporting and managing multiple concurrent projects, including leading teams and potentially managing personnel and/or project teams;
- Providing advice and insight into various OD topics to clients directly and/or as part of projects or internal HR teams;
- Conducting organizational learning needs assessments and analysis and developing strategies and associated learning programs;
- Designing and facilitating employee experiences that strengthen organizational culture;
- Providing input into MacEwan’s Leadership Development program; supporting the mapping of learning pathways, course requirements/options, and program components into Program Profiles to enable learners to understand the goals, scope, and requirements of MacEwan’s various leadership development streams and paths;
- Developing customized learning and change plans for client groups and leaders (or leadership teams); presenting proposals that leverage both internal and external courses and/or coaching; and
- Delivering various training courses and programs on behalf of Human Resources (e.g. Workforce Engagement, Change Management for Leaders, Mental Health & Wellness Essentials, etc.).

- The ability to lead changes and effectively assess risk, readiness, and resistance while creating an inclusive, non-threatening environment to support productive debate, robust expression of ideas, group dialogue, and decision making;
