Medical Education Coordinator

**OVERVIEW**
Reporting to the Manager of Medical Education and the Director of Medical Education, the Medical Education Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of the Faculty Development Program within the Medical Education Office. In this capacity, the Coordinator will support MGH faculty physicians in their role as educators by leading the faculty appointments and promotions process with our affiliated Universities and organizing faculty development events and programming. The Coordinator will also manage the awards portfolio to continue to recognize the significant contributions that MGH faculty make towards teaching and education and medical education research.
The Coordinator will also have responsibility for leading special projects and events aimed at advancing educational endeavours and promoting a culture of medical education throughout the organization. This will include creating and maintaining written promotional materials, planning events, and providing direct support for medical education leadership committees.
The Coordinator will use a high level of professionalism, initiative, judgment, and flexibility to coordinate all functions of the role.
**EDUCATION**
- Undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Health Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
- Equivalent years of relevant experience may be considered.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in an academic medical center or university environment.
- Experience working in contact with physicians and/or medical learners.
- Understanding of the Canadian medical education system and physician roles/responsibilities in academic healthcare environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, including the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proven project coordination skills.
- Strong judgement, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work on confidential, complex, time sensitive projects independently.
- Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to respond to inquiries or concerns, provide clear and concise descriptions of policies and processes, andshare information across a variety of formats (web content, presentations, letters, reports, surveys, etc.)
- Good work and attendance record.
