**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Director of P&C Operations, the Health & Safety Manager will play a pivotal role in creating and leading the safety culture for the Company, ensuring the full implementation of all safety programs, protocols, and training in accordance with applicable Regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive health and safety program that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Conduct thorough assessments of workplace hazards and risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Establish and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to management and employees on health and safety matters, including the proper use of safety equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Design and deliver training programs and educational initiatives to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and crisis communication strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate health and safety considerations into all aspects of business operations and decision-making processes.
- Play a lead role in the provincial safety programs for reduction of premiums
- Guide and train HRPBs in any work related to safety claims, return to work programs
- Keep open lines of communication with the safety committee, being the point of contact for all concerns and questions.
- Ensure meetings are held quarterly across region dealerships.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory developments in the field of occupational health and safety, and incorporate these insights into program improvements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the health and safety program through regular audits, inspections, and performance metrics.

**Requirements/ Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in developing and managing health and safety programs, preferably in Automotive or Retail industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire others to prioritize safety.
- Proven track record of implementing successful initiatives to improve health and safety performance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Must be able to travel to all locations in Canada (40%) and US (10%)
