Loss Prevention Coordinator

Job Summary
Reporting to the National Manager of Loss Prevention (LP), the Loss Prevention Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Store Operations department to help resolve and deter theft in retail locations. Additionally, the LP Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining user access and incident response in the Head Office. The LP Coordinator will help manage the internal LP mailbox and proactively train employees to acquire a culture of preventing loss within our stores. This role will support in developing and tracking LP key performance indicators around theft, fraud, workplace incidents and provide analytical support to identify loss through reports. The LP coordinator will support the National Manager of Loss Prevention with internal investigations and ensure key policy and procedures are followed within stores. This role will support in creating standard operating procedures that ensure the safety and security of our physical stores and employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in maintenance and user access of security equipment (CCTV, Intrusion, Access Control)
- Support in managing the Loss Prevention mailbox for retail stores.
- Provides updates on Loss Prevention concerns to the field and cross functional partners.
- Assist with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud.
- Support in store key and alarm code user access management and tracking.
- Responsible for securing CCTV footage for incidents and evidence gathering.
- Assists with writing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and best practices for various LP items.
- Provide administrative and analytical support during physical inventory season.
- Support in proactively training the field on Loss Prevention policies and initiatives.
- Assist with investigating systemic inventory loss in retail stores.
- Support with scheduling third party security guard services for retail locations.
- Collaborate with leadership, cross functional partners, law enforcement and LP community.
- Support with key events as needed from a security perspective.
- Assists National Manager of Loss Prevention with administrative tasks as needed, including monthly invoice and accrual submissions.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications
- Excellent prioritization and analytical skills.
- Organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- 1+ years of Loss Prevention experience.
- Experience navigating security equipment such as intrusion, access control, and CCTV systems. (Hikvision, Avigilon, Bosch, DSC experience an asset)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ability to work weekends when required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) is essential.
