**BIWEEKLY THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY**

The Front of House Coordinator at Memory & Company is an essential role of the Memory & Company team that ensures Members and guests are greeted upon arrival and checked in as necessary, or assisted upon exit and checked out. The Front of House Coordinator ensures the dining area is monitored and its appearance is maintained at all times to the Memory & Company standards. The Front of House Coordinator works directly with the Chef to assist with Member meals to ensure accuracy of special diets, food safety procedures are followed, and support the Chef with set-up of the dining space to ensure a high standard hospitality type environment. The Front of House Coordinator ensures Members and their guests are supported in the dining room at all times and encourages Members to assist with ADL's in the kitchen environment or assist with providing individual activities such as books, drawing and games. The Front of House Coordinator works directly with the Memory & Company Support Team to ensure our Members and their Guests are having the best experience in the dining room and ensuring Member happiness and safety in the dining room area.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Hospitality Experience. PSW certificate an asset
- 1 year experience working with people who have Alzheimer's or related dementia's, Acquired Brain Injury, Stroke or Parkinson's.
- Physically fit, can sit, lift (35lbs), bend and stand for long periods of time
- Mentally fit to meet the emotional demands of supporting people living with Memory Loss
- Possess excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Passionate about improving the lives of those affected by Memory Loss.
- Comfortable leading small groups
- Comfortable with all aspects of personal care care in a sensitive, private and respectful manner
- Comfortable with housekeeping in the dining and kitchen area and dining assistance for Members if necessary
- Enjoys the universal Support Team approach.
- Keen, reliable, energetic, friendly, approachable
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Patient, kind, calm, empathetic and very adaptable to a high paced environment

**Primary duties and responsibilities**:

- Coordinating the full operations of the dining area
- Working closely with Chef to ensure special diets are followed, dining is set-up based on meal, and assisting as needed for meal times
- Greeting and signing in Members and their Guests and coat check
- Assisting with exiting of Members and Guests when necessary
- Ensuring the dining room's appearance is maintained at all times, such as sweeping, wiping tables, wiping chairs, cleaning counters, removing old linens and Member aprons.
- Ensuring lights are on, Member friendly music playing, televisions are on, daily menu's presented, centrepieces are on and the candles are lit to ensure a warm and welcoming environment for Members and guest arrivals
- Monitoring Members, and ensuring their comfort while in the dining room while working alongside Support Team Members
- Encouraging Members to assist with ADL's in the kitchen/dining environment such as cutlery roll ups, polishing, folding linens etc. Based on Member interest.
- Ensure our Members are safe and happy in the dining room by providing light individual activities, such as providing books, puzzles, colouring.
- Ensuring Trial and New Members Meals are safe and accurate based on trial waiver, and Member Management information
- Follow health and safety requirements and procedures at all times
- Be a kind, calm, and empathetic support to all our Members and their guests
- Maintain a respectful, open-minded, open-communication environment with all team members
- Address concerns when they arise with the appropriate leaders
- Ensure our Members are well fed, and hydrated at all times
- Maintain the dignity of our Members at all times
- Other duties as requested from time to time by the Memory & Company leadership team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
