**JOB DESCRIPTION - RESTAURANT PURCHASING MANAGER**

**Who We’re Looking For**:

- The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring all goods and services required for Desi Bar & Grill, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. This role requires strong vendor relationship management, inventory control, and coordination with kitchen and operations teams to ensure smooth restaurant functioning.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for food, beverages, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure procurement meets the restaurant’s quality and budget standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
- Coordinate with kitchen and management teams to forecast purchasing needs.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Resolve any vendor or supply issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Prepare and present purchasing and cost reports to management.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, invoicing, reconciling, etc.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control systems.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field is an asset.

**Working Conditions**:

- This position may require occasional evening or weekend work depending on business needs. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with kitchen and management teams, and may need to visit vendors or suppliers in person.
