Inventory Specialist

Inventory Specialist responsibilities include:
- Tracking inventory and maintenance
- Controlling flows of equipment accessories and supplies
- Preparation of purchase orders (PO) and ordering supplies
- Working closely with scientific team
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and maintaining our inventory to ensure smooth operations and support ongoing studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of supplies inventory, including laboratory reagents, consumables, and other necessary materials.
- Prepare purchase orders (POs) for various suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures (SOPs).
- Place orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Track shipments and manage the receipt of inventory, logging all items into the system according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Reception and logging of samples and test articles as per SOP.
- Labeling and dating of received consumables and other laboratory materials as per SOP.
- Store inventory appropriately, adhering to storage guidelines and company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock of products, equipment, and supplies while avoiding overstock or shortages.
- Maintain detailed records of placed orders and delivery status for accurate tracking and reporting.
- Prepares material for the study conduct as per requirement
- Communicating with study directors and higher management about any inventory issues
- Performing the filing, archiving, transfer, or disposal of materials Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the field is an asset **Holding DEC or B Sc degree is an asset** Working knowledge of word processor, database and spreadsheet software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and purchase order processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with suppliers and internal teams
- Able to work weekends on occasion

Pay: $20.00-$24.82 per hour
