THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager the incumbent of this role will be responsible for managing all inventory counts for the stores in Canada and for the Distribution Center.
- Plan, execute and ensure the smooth operation of all physical counts for the chain;
- Coordinate and supervise the annual physical inventories of the stores and inventory processes in the computer system:
- Ensure the follow-up of the business processes in the stores for the counts as well as provide them with the necessary support and service
- Verify that each step of the inventory process is done according to the procedures and respecting the established standards;
- Coordinate counts with the external company and manage relationships, processes and schedules;
- Process the physical inventory files and ensure the integrity and validity of the counts in the ERP system;
- Produce various inventory variance analysis reports. Investigate and justify discrepancies.
- Participate in the planning, coordination and supervision of the annual physical count of the distribution center, the processing of inventory files in the computer systems as well as the investigation, analysis and justification of variances;
- Collaborate in the implementation of a chain-wide cycle counting program at both the store and distribution center levels;
- Develop and/or optimize inventory count processes and procedures to improve operations and provide solutions to problems encountered. Propose improvements and innovative ideas to resolve inventory discrepancies related to certain products, categories or suppliers;
- Act as a resource person for the different departments in terms of inventory counts for the stores, the distribution center as well as with the external auditors;
- Work in close collaboration with the internal inventory team and other teams within the company.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- College degree or equivalent in a relevant field;
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an inventory counting position;
- Bilingualism in French and English, spoken and written;
- Very good knowledge of the Office suite (Excel advanced level);
- Attention to detail;
- Analytical, solution-oriented and problem-solving skills;
- Dynamic and flexible;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
