**AECENS** is a not-for-profit organization that recognizes the vital role of Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) in providing high quality child care. The organization is committed to improving standards and recognition for professionals, which in turn benefits children, families, and society. The organization is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our offices are located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

**OUR MISSION**

To promote the professional recognition of ECEs in Nova Scotia, and to provide support and resources for excellence in professional practice.

**THE POSITION**

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing work on multiple projects of the organization, reporting on progress toward accomplishing deliverables, and ensuring that timelines are met. The successful applicant will be involved in reviewing the Recognized Prior Learning program and developing a provincial Framework for Communities of Practice. Additional projects may be added over the duration of the term.

This is a one-year term position that may be extended depending on funding.

- experience writing requests for proposals and working with consultants,
- familiarity with methods of assessment and evaluation in adult education,
- understanding of data analysis and performance metrics, and
- adherence to a budget through expense monitoring
- a degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, and
- at least three years of experience in leadership roles in the ECE sector, and
- previous experience in a professional learning or adult education role including facilitation of training sessions, workshops, or seminars

The following qualifications will be considered assets for the position:

- certification or experience as an adult educator or career development professional, or
- completion of a master’s degree in child & youth study, education or a related field, or
- previous experience in advertising and marketing, or
- knowledge of best practices in file management and experience developing and maintaining an electronic database.

Pay: $56,000.00-$61,750.00 per year
