Reporting to the VP of Planning & Development, the Development Coordinator will help coordinate the planning, development, and implementation of plans and projects across the portfolio.

As The Development Coordinator, you will get to:

  • Coordinate multiple concurrent land development projects of various phases, scales, and complexity
  • Provide land use policy and by-law reviews in support of active and prospective development projects
  • Coordinate project budgets, schedules, and development programs
  • Coordinate with various design consultants and subcontractors, including, but not limited to, architects, engineers, landscape architects and interior designers, as well as other pre-construction disciplines such as geomatic, geotechnical and environmental services
  • Coordinate consultant scopes of work and proposals, and coordinate all aspects of contract administration processes
  • Coordinate team assignments, and develop project communication, documentation, and associated administrative tasks such as project accounting and reporting
  • Coordinate all aspects of jurisdictional approval processes, including, but not limited to, Site Plan Approvals, Development Permits, Building Permits, and all other associated approval requirements
  • Liaise with permitting officials, including municipal, provincial or federal agencies
  • Coordinate, conduct, and attend project meetings
  • Prepare meeting minutes and agendas, and assist in project scheduling
  • Assist in marketing and business development efforts
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in land use planning, architecture, engineering, construction, real estate, or similar profession
  • Proven track record of problem-solving skills and informed decision making
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating client, consultant and jurisdictional relationships
  • Experience in reviewing and preparing land development applications
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills: experience in the Adobe Suite of software is considered an asset
  • Any related professional designations (MCIP, LPP, P.ENG., PMP, MRAIC, or similar) are considered an asset
