**Position Overview**

Provide integrated reception services using a person-centred approach as well as clerical support for the Ontario Works department.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Receptionist:

- Perform reception services such as connecting members of the public to the right service.
- Addressing inquiries as well as obtaining information and supporting documentation.
- Complete various clerical duties such as data entry, filing scanning and processing mail.
- Use the provincial database as well as other relevant technologies to complete the various responsibilities of this position.

General:

- Incumbents must keep up-to-date on all relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, County Policies and Procedures, etc. ensuring that these are implemented as prescribed
- Incumbents must possess the physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities of the job description and/or the requirements identified within the position's Physical Demands Analysis.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Formal Education
- Enrolled in a college level office administration program.
- Completion of year 1 of a 2 year college level office administration program preferred.

Experience
- Work and/or volunteer experience with office administration responsibilities in a social service office setting preferred.

Summer Student positions with the County of Lambton may be dependent on funding and the funding criteria, which specifies that students must:

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age
- Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents or have refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Will not have another full-time job
