The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Operations team to achieve operational targets including paperwork, data entry and reporting.
**In this role, you will**:
Monitor and track performance to budgeted goals and/or targets established for the department.
Provide KPI results to management on a daily basis.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for container yard by providing productivity targets, associated manning requirements and improvements.
Initiate discussions with employees who are in breach of company policies and communicate breaches of policy to the Superintendent on duty for resolution.
Identify and resolve any customer issues that are related to the specific operations.
Promote positive relationships with our labour workforce, by meeting with them on a daily basis.
**What you bring to this role**:
A degree in business, logistics or similar field is preferred.
Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills, with attention to detail so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, and the proven ability to learn new systems quickly.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
Proven ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for achieving desired results.
Motivation and the capability of working on own your initiative while contributing to the team.
Fluent in English.
Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.
