Tenova Goodfellow Inc. (TGI) is seeking a **Human Resources/ Business Co-op Student**.

This is part or full time, 4 to 12-month term co-op position. Able to commute to Mississauga office and if possible occasionally to Hamilton plant.

TGI is part of a global organization that supplies advanced technologies, products, and services to the metal and mining industries. As a world leader in providing advanced process control technologies, TGI focuses on improving energy efficiency in combustion intensive processes by using its proprietary extractive & optical sensor technology developed in co-operation with its strategic partners.

**The key responsibilities for the HR Co-op Student include**:

- Assist HR Manager with ongoing HR projects and initiatives and support on all administrative tasks
- Revamp onboarding and new hire orientation
- Responsible for keeping up to date employee information
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Collaborate in training initiatives, events, recognition ideas, etc.
- Support H&S activities
- Support Payroll activities
- Support Finance department as needed
- Must be enrolled in a Co-op program
- Bachelors or Masters Human Resources Management, Business program or related field
- Additional HR training or experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and local employment laws
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ethics
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel, HRIS systems.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Internship / Co-op

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
