We are seeking someone who is a sales superstar, creative, personable, and above all PASSIONATE to join our team as a Sales and Event Consultant with LA CHEFS CATERING & EVENTS at the COAST LETHBRIDGE HOTEL & CONFERENCE CENTRE

This role will be an integral part of the sales team, you will gain a meaningful work experience in a welcoming and exciting environment where we lead by example and work together to WOW our clients This position will report directly to the Director of Sales & Business Development.
- **Position Objective**:_

Main objective of this role is to sell and subsequently coordinate all social events onside at the Coast Lethbridge Hotel, as well as the Countryside Barn Venue. Develop & execute strategies to meet or exceed a minimum sales goal determined by the organization. Enhance client base and be a brand ambassador for the organization. The nature of events is a mix between social and corporate events, with a large focus on weddings.
- **General Expectations of the Sales Consultant**:_
- Able to build good rapport with existing and potential clients
- Manage individual sales goal development and achieve monthly sales goal targets
- Strong daily organizational and time management skills
- Efficient communication skills with both clients and co-workers
- Strong ability to work as part of an overall team - giving help and assistance when required, as well as knowing when to ask for help and assistance.

Daily Responsibilities:

- Handle walk-in inquires for quotes/info on catering
- Liaison with kitchen and banquet staff regarding any questions or quotes that salesperson is unsure of
- Communicate with Sales Director regarding any questions or quotes that sales person is unsure of
- Record all new inquiries/update outstanding inquiry status on Weekly Inquiry Spreadsheet
- Follow up on outstanding quote requests as per sales process
- Ongoing coordination/menu planning etc. for upcoming events
- Customer follow up for completed events to determine level of client satisfaction

Weekly Responsibilities:

- Submit all Banquet Event Orders (BEO) to Sales manager every Wednesday afternoon for review prior to submission to kitchen
- Submit Weekly Inquiry Spreadsheet to Sales Manager at the end of each Friday
- Meet with the Sales Director for discussion regarding outstanding quotes, workload challenges, and any other pertinent issues
- Participate in weekly BEO meetings with the Sales team, Kitchen, and Baquet managers
- Conduct Weekly outstanding sales calls, client visits, etc.

Monthly Responsibilities:

- Meet with Sales Director to review monthly sales plan and results as compared to targets
- Set appropriate action plans with sales Director to meet Sales Goals
- Participating in monthly Team Sales Meetings

Ongoing Responsibilities:

- Provide feedback to sales Director regarding suggestions for team improvement, menu ideas, client concerns, etc.

**This role offers a flexible work schedule - with a combination of office hours and work from home hours.**

**Compensation will be a combination of base salary and commission.**

This is a fast-paced sales role which can pull the employee in many different directions. To be successful the employee must have the ability to prioritize tasks, and to recognize the relationship between time invested and results achieved. As in any sales role, the goal is to have a steady stream of quotes, inquiries, proposals on the go at any given time - in essence building the “sales pipeline” for the upcoming months.

As the overall business model of LA Chefs continues to grow and expand, all sales roles may evolve and be modified over time.

- Our home base is located within the Coast Lethbridge Hotel and Conference Centre, where we provide exclusive catering service in the approx. 16,000 square feet of conference space. We are also the exclusive caterer to the awesome Norland Historic Estate, with event space of 6500 square feet. Additionally, we provide our catering services to numerous local venues which include the Lethbridge and District Exhibition.
