**Production**
- Plant Welding Supervisor / Inspector - CWB requirement
- A welding supervisor is directly responsible for ensuring that qualified welders and welding operators are working in accordance to approved welding procedure data sheets on the shop floor.
- Communicate job expectations and performance requirements to welders
- Serve as a liaison with drafters, welders, and other stakeholders to maximize efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce production, safety, and quality systems, policies, and procedures
- Read, interpret, and work from controlled documentation and processes Continuously improve processes and manpower efficiency, utilization, and productivity
- Demonstrate effective communication that supports a motivated workforce to deliver the company’s goals and objectives
- Cost - Effectively control cost by reviewing production priorities, effectively scheduling OT to cover openings or man scheduled jobs
- Provide leadership, direction, and training for employees in assigned work centers
- Maintain conformance with Company work rules and policies and communicate with OP/GM to deliver discipline when necessary
- Lead and/or support the implementation of improved manufacturing processes using Robotic welding.
- Robotic station is meeting the proper standard of acceptability, throughput rate and weld quality. Weld quality is to have daily destructive testing to ensure proper weld quality. Documentation if testing must be maintained.
- Supervision / Leadership - Provide direct and indirect supervision and leadership to any or all the production shop floor.
- Working in partnership with the manufacturing lead-hand to ensure production schedules are achieved.
- Delegation of tasks that need to be performed - NOT TO BE HANDS ON doing tasks.
- Ensuring periodic welding inspections of ALL welding personnel. Documentation of what product and tags must be maintained.
**Communication**
- Develop a good relationship with shop floor lead hand, production schedulers, and maintenance planners to promote timely and clear communications regarding equipment issues
- Use a computer to compile and submit data of acceptance or rejection of weld quality, for inter-office communications.
- Responsible for reporting any accidents or incidents that occur within the designated facility (on
- or off-site)
- Documents and reports inspection findings and construction activities to meet standards, industry practices, and safety and environmental guidelines.
- Coordinate production needs in post welding and maintain daily documented productivity records for throughputs.
**Quality**
- Visually inspecting Welding/Recording Weld Traceability and organizing NDT
- Ensure that all welding meets the specified requirements before inspection is initiated
- Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
- Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met
- Examine inspection records to determine inspection schedule and remedial actions conform with procedures and regulations
- Anticipate, analyze, and diagnose production problems to coordinate corrective actions
**Safety**
- Verifying workers' performance meets safety expectations
- Correcting improper and unsafe work activities and conditions
- Identifying any new workplace hazards and taking steps to ensure everyone stays safe
- Reinforcing safe and proper work performance
**Training**
- Employee Development & Training - Develop and accurately and objectively evaluate apprentices and in-house welder trainee.
- Assess and set-up of training programs
**Other Duties**
- Employer may make reasonable changes to the Employee’s duties and responsibilities
CWB inspector certification required for W47.2 (Aluminum)
**Salary**: $34,956.00-$77,344.00 per year
