**Summary**:The VP of Supply Chain and Manufacturing defines and shapes Novarc’s Supply chain, manufacturing, quality and logistics processes, to ensure a resilient and optimized supply chain, a high level of quality of internally manufactured products, and ensures Novarc meets production targets and, ultimately, client deliveries. The mission of this position is to ensure the right product is in the right place, at the right time, and at the right price.
- This role will lead and facilitate a strong tie between the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality Assurance teams within Novarc. The role will be part of the Operations team and will report directly to the CEO.**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Support the development, direction, and execution of strategy for the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality teams within Novarc.Accurately profile inventory based on historical and anticipated future demand, leveraging cross-functional resources available to assist and align to working capital requirements.-
Continue the development of and improve the systems that ensure adequate inventory and safety stock levels are on-hand to meet rapid turn-around of completed SWRs.-
Is highly focused on continuing the improvement work underway to improve cycle times in line with shorter TAKT times to meet anticipated global SWR demand in the immediate, medium and long term.-
Deploys Risk Management Techniques for supply chain, quality, and manufacturing oversight and problem resolution to mitigate unacceptable risk.-
Examine the potential for and implement regional contract manufacturing agreements to rapidly provide SWRs on an international basis.-
Develops the global supply chain and manufacturing strategy to meet the expected growth and international demand.-
Develops long term Master Supply Agreements (MSAs) with key manufacturers and suppliers.-
Ensure purchase order accuracy while always striving to improve efficiency and effectiveness of team processes.-
Develop and implement a robust and effective quality management system and team that is fit for the business.-
Support the resolution of quality and technical problems within the organization in alignment with global standards.-
Assure appropriate quality governance through the performance of management reviews of quality KPI’s, metrics, process performance indicators, and quality system signals and supply risks. Initiate corrective actions when necessary and perform follow-up on resulting measures.-
Coordinate and/or provides SME (Subject Matter Expert) input for manufacturing, supply chain, and QA Policies, and SOPs when required.-
Builds resilient organizational capability for current and future needs. Recruit and develop local and global talent to sustain competitiveness. This includes identifying individuals with leadership potential, providing mentoring and enrichment opportunities consistent with succession planning.-
Develop a high-performance culture within the organization. Coaches, leads, and mentors direct reports and build a highly capable team through the attraction, training, and development of the necessary skilled professionals to meet business needs.- Prepare and manage departmental budget.
**Minimum Qualifications and Experience**:
- Degree in Science, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.15+ years of manufacturing industry experience, including 8+ years of global commercial supply chain experience and leadership.-
APICS certification (or similar), would be an asset.-
Thorough knowledge of risk analysis, integration of demand planning and inventory control, quality and manufacturing.-
Technical proficiency in ERP Systems, Netsuite is preferred.-
Experience managing product supply chains and inventories.-
Proven experience with contract manufacturing, including creation of scopes of work, technical support documents, and relationship development.-
Familiarity with the management of manufacturing processes.-
Demonstrated success in establishing a supply chain function in support of a fast-growing company.-
Demonstrated complex problem-solving ability and sound judgement.-
