Manufacturing Assistant

**Overview**
**General Responsibilities**
Production Line:
You are accountable to safely set up, use, clean, and maintain automated and semi-automated equipment. You will also liaise with coworkers to problem solve daily incidents and timetable challenges.
- Line-filling (machine and occasionally by hand) to fill retail and wholesale packaging, including batching, labeling, and packing finished product
- Cleaning and sterilizing work areas, lab, equipment, general work areas
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Follow production schedules and maintain accurate records of production activities
- Quality check to ensure final product meets required specifications
- Other duties as assigned related to manufacturing, and production of personal care products
**Documentation**
- As required, maintain accurate and detailed production records, and equipment logs
**Equipment Maintenance**
- Ensure all manufacturing equipment is in good working condition before and after each batch is filled
- Perform routine cleaning of equipment to prevent contamination and downtime
- Notify your supervisor or the Operations Manager of any equipment issues or malfunctions
- Perform periodic equipment calibrations as required
**Safety and Compliance**
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment
**General Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to lift up to 25 Kg and stand for extended periods
- As needed, wear appropriate personal protective equipment which may include a lab coat, rubber gloves, safety shoes, hair net, safety glasses, mask, etc. (supplied as needed)
- Able to follow all corporate policies, safety policies, and maintaining good attendance
- Basic mechanical aptitude is desirable, with a willingness to learn new skills related to equipment operation
