Payroll and AP Specialist
The Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented and highly organized individual with a desire for continual process improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Process payroll for both Canadian and USA-based employees on a semi-monthly basis
- Process full-cycle, high volume accounts payable in a timely manner
- Review invoices and ensure coding is accurate, appropriate approvals have been met, and taxes are properly recorded
- Prepare daily journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
- Perform daily routines and month end procedures
- Process expense reports
- Process daily credit cards reconciliations
- Process payment of invoices in multiple currencies, including preparing weekly payment runs
- Respond to internal and external Accounts Payable inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist in preparation of all monthly government remittances in an appropriate and timely manner (GST, PST, WCB, etc)
- Assist with reporting, if required, by the management and respond to various queries and requests from external auditors
- Ad hoc tasks as assigned from time to time

- Minimum 1 year work experience in an Accounting-related role
- Experience working with ADP and BambooHR would be a strong asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows environment (Word, Excel)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid, high-growth, and collaborative environment
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a deadline-driven environment
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy
- Ability to maintain integrity in relationships with co-workers and external customers and vendors
