**About DEWC**

**The Opportunity**

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for completing DEWC bi-weekly payroll responsibilities, maintaining accurate payroll data, reports and reconciliations in compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the the Finance Manager the Payroll Specialist will work closely with the HR team to ensure smooth operations and accurate completion of the payroll functions. She will work from a feminist perspective and within an anti-oppression framework.

**About You**
- 2+ years full-cycle accounting/payroll experience preferably in a non-for-profit charitable organization in Canada and/or unionized environment
- An accounting/payroll diploma/degree (or equivalent combination of education and/or experience).
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation (preferred)
- Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Strong computer skills including in Excel.
- Knowledge of ADP Payroll Processing System will be an asset
- Requires some work outside of normal schedule to undertake position responsibilities, meet deadlines, and ensure delivery of high-quality programs and services.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of the issues impacting women in the dtes, including gender-based violence, mental health, housing and substance use

**POSITION DETAILS**:

- Permanent, full-time, 9-day fortnight schedule
- Excluded Position: Salary Range: $56,238 - $74,984 /per annum based on experience.
