DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

- Process full cycle payroll processing
- Payroll year-end duties, such as YTD reconciliations and yearend tax document preparation
- Employee terminations; voluntary and involuntary
- Support employees and leaders with timecard inquires
- Administrate employee garnishments
- Onboarding and off onboarding of new hires and support on terminations
- First point of contact for all payroll inquiries
- Reconcile remittances to government agencies and local taxes
- Prepare and submit AP requests for various payments relating to the processing of payroll
- Provide payroll processing backup for the Mexico, US, and Canadian payrolls, when required
- Focus on continuous improvement to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Assist with ADHOC Payroll reporting
- Other duties in support of payroll functions and other tasks may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of Payroll Org Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or National Payroll Institute Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll working with a computerized payroll system, Workday payroll preferred
- Diploma or degree in Finance, HR or related field
- Experience with US full cycle, multi state, payroll processing included all year end duties
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Knowledge related to payroll preparation and related recordkeeping
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key groups including internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and meet established datelines
- Attention to detail, excellent accuracy, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to deal with confidential information
- Accounting experience an asset

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting salary for this position ranges from 60k-70k CAD annually. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a range of benefits. Please note that this salary range is not guaranteed, and the final offer may vary based on experience, education, location, and shift. Additionally, the benefits and programs available may differ depending on the hire date, schedule type, and hours worked.
