**The opportunity**

The role of the Installation Administrator is to set up the new business our small/mid, large, and jumbo case clients into our operating system. The role involves interaction with our Implementation team to ensure all requirements are received, applied, and set up in the service standards communicated to our clients.

**Responsibilities**
- Examine all documents received in a new case submission while enforcing the MLI underwriting guidelines to ensure all required forms are received and completed in compliance with federal and provincial pension authorities;
- Provide quality client administration by establishing accurate initial contract-level records within a timely and often limited timeframe;
- Issue the client contracts in accordance with the plan specifications and federal & provincial pension authorities;
- Build and maintain solid relationships with all members of customer base by responding effectively to questions, issues and problems, keeping all informed and up-to-date on progress of new case submission, following-up on outstanding items, discrepancies and significant issues while maintaining multiple communication tools on multiple cases;
- Provide additional on-the-job support to team members as required, including quality control for specific tasks;
- Models team behavior and shows leadership, influences and motivates the achievement of team goals
- Contribute to work systems improvement of the department by troubleshooting to identify root cause, options, and solutions, then applies influence to implement change
- Manage conflicting priorities in potentially stressful situations, often handling escalated issues
- Excellent knowledge of workflows, procedures and the functionality, complexities, and limitations of our systems
- Well versed on all products and services, with extensive experience on more complex products
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities independently in a rapid changing environment.
- Attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and errors, strong problem-solving skills.

- Process all tax type transactions pertaining to all Core work disciplines within Plan Design Services

**What we are looking for**
- Demonstrate high level of confidence and professionalism while constantly meeting department expectations on accuracy, service standards, and processing - must factor in considering possible increased complexity and / or sensitivity of work
- Coordinate complex asset transfers for all tax types from other carriers transferring to Manulife, considering preparation work, notification to other Manulife areas (Finance, Cash Mgt) and balancing assets.
- Strong PC skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word programs to be used for file manipulation and creation;
- Strong math skills used to reconcile reports and work with financial data;
- Good understanding of pension/investment business, products and processes and the regulations governing our business would be preferred;
- Knowledge of Canadian pension products would be considered an asset as would knowledge of Manulife pension products;
