**Medical Office Assistant - Physiotherapy**

Are you passionate about making a difference in physiotherapy and enhancing patient satisfaction? Join our dynamic team as a Medical Office Assistant and play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional service and care for our patients.

As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the patient journey within our physiotherapy clinic. You will collaborate with our team of physiotherapists and administrative staff to enhance patient satisfaction, streamline processes, and uphold the highest standards of care.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the patient experience within the clinic.
- Handle direct billing to insurance companies using Telus Health.
- Work closely with clinical staff and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care and service.
- Monitor patient feedback and implement initiatives to address concerns and improve satisfaction levels.
- Communicate directly with WSIB and MVA insurance companies to manage patient claims.
- Oversee front desk operations to optimize the patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Ensure the office environment is welcoming and efficient for all patients.

**Qualifications**:

- **Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records**: Experience with EMR systems, specifically those used in physiotherapy clinics, is essential.
- **Front Desk Operations**: Strong understanding of front desk responsibilities in a physiotherapy setting, including patient check-in, scheduling, and billing processes.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients, therapists, and staff.
- **Medical Terminology**: Familiarity with physiotherapy-specific medical terminology and procedures is preferred.
- **Healthcare Experience**: Previous experience in a physiotherapy or similar healthcare environment is a plus.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with phone and fax systems, as well as other office equipment commonly used in physiotherapy clinics.
- **Team Collaboration**: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, contributing to a positive and supportive workplace culture.

Please note: the hours for this position are Monday to Thursday from 12:30PM to 7:30PM and Friday 12:30PM to 6:30PM. You must be able to work until 7:30PM Monday to Thursday and until 6:30PM on Friday's.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37 per week
