**About The Agency**
- Jewish Family and Child Service is a multi-service, client-centered, family service agency and a Children’s Aid Society. We support the healthy development of individuals, children, families, and communities through prevention, protection, counselling, and education and advocacy services, within the context of Jewish values.
**About the Role**
We are seeking an **Office Administration** **Intern** to provide support to our Administration team. This is a full-time position under the Canada Summer Jobs program for up to 280 hours.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with various administrative tasks to support Agency programs and teams.
- Provide reception coverage for vacation, sick, lunch breaks, and the occasional evening.
- Provide assistance for case file maintenance, including scanning
- Organize and maintain proper record filing.
- Assist in coordinating the logístical aspects of Agency programs and services, such as meetings, seminars and other events.
- Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services and other correspondence.
- Maintain stock area in clean and presentable manner; ensure adequate level of office supplies.
- Performs other duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Must be between the 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Some post-secondary education, preferably in the area of Office Administration/ Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), knowledge of Access and database programs
- Organizational, detailed oriented and multi-tasking skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Prioritize workload according to ever changing deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive, confidential and proprietary information.
- Comfortable working in-office where health and safety measures have been put in place
