Our head office and primary manufacturing facility is located in Edmonton, Alberta; with additional facilities in British Columbia and Panama.
**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Create and process requests for quotation documents
- Verify pricing from vendors, looking for alternatives as required; negotiating price and delivery times to best fit production requirements
- Create and issue outgoing purchase orders to approved suppliers
- Follow up on open/pending orders
- Maintain database of purchase order information, including opening and closing orders
- Data Entry
- Reconciling purchase order documents with quantities received and maintain backorder database
- Formal closing of completed purchase orders
- Answering incoming phone calls and directing to the appropriate recipient
- Receiving visitors to our office and directing them accordingly
- Assist the Production Coordinator/supervisor as required
**Requirements**:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; including Word and Excel
- Punctual
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (English) both written and spoken
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Ability to source, procure, and fabricate materials as needed
