We have an opening for a Purchaser at our Edmonton location.
**What you will do**:
- Maintaining and balancing stock using Solar Eclipse (ERP) replenishment system within company guidelines.
- Analyzing trends in vendor pricing and sales activity to determine appropriate supplier (from an approved list) and correct timing of purchases using best practices.
- Ordering non-stock products as required.
- Resolving issues related to sales orders, transfers and purchase orders.
- Tracing requests for product with supplier.
- Reconciling physical on hand quantities through inventory adjustments.
- Reviewing inventory reports to return non-turning products to vendors.
- Working with management and sales staff to reduce clearance product.
- Making necessary adjustments to ensure proper inventory levels through product maintenance.
- Transferring required inventory from other branches with surplus.
- Participate in physical inventory counts
- Performing other duties as assigned.
**About you**:
- Familiarity with plumbing products
- Excellent computer knowledge
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Previous purchasing experience and understanding of Eclipse is considered an asset
